A performance piece by Joclécio Azevedo
performed at Teatro Carlos Alberto, Porto
in the scope of FIMP”15
17-18 October 2015

Starting with the notions of wander, trail and route, the performance piece Escombros (Wreckage) travels through the theatre of objects, the movement and the exploration of sound textures from the activation of the evoked materials: wood and metal. At the stage, spatial structures are constructed and transformed from a series of found materials, originating a kind of mobile city, in a continuous becoming, that is reconstituted entirely from each fragment. The unresting actions of the staged bodies are reflections of the urge of reusing and transforming labor matters and processes, setting new paths and generating new acts shuttling between destruction and recreation.
